Ugh....My bad luck never seems to run out! Ive always used campy groupsets but ive been dying to try shimano stuff...so I order an ultegra groupset from a mail order company finally i get it so i rip apart my training bike and wouldnt you know it...they sent me the wrong bottom bracket! How lame is that? Now i hafta send it back to get the right one and ill have like 2 weeks of downtime...blah
i think ill buy one from my LBS tomorrow and than send the one back to the mail order!
Just wanted to rant a little...if it wasnt for bad luck I wouldnt have any luck at all!

Think positive. This is no big deal, don't attribute it to bad luck. It is merely common inconvenience.

You seem WAY to upbeat to let this all brew into a self concocted bad luck streak.

Cheers!

I'd have no luck at all...

Bad luck... my girlfriend dumped me on Jerry Springer for a 600 pound transexual...

Bad luck... my new girlfriend blew me off on Jerry Springer for my old girlfriend and a 600 pound transexual...

Bad luck... I fell off a 15 foot scaffolding at work after seeing my two ex's walk by with a 600 pound transexual right onto the only exposed piece of rebar on the whole site... and they got it on tape for the Jerry Springer show...

Bad luck... Any situation that would include me, a 600 pound transexual and the Jerry Springer show...

... that should take the whammy off you... at least temporarily...

Soon as you get your BB, you'll feel better just wrenchin' a bit.

Hahahahaha
thats too funny...im gunna watch jerry springer and I will definatley feel better! hahaha

well I never used shimano before! So i figure ill give it a whirl...see how it goes....if I dont like it ill just go back to campy =)

well the thing was I told the place where i ordered it from...what frame i was putting it in and what groupset I already had in it...no biggie...i figure i should have known the size of the BB that was in there to begin with...lesson learned =) i needed a 68x109.5 but they gave me a 70x109.5..got the right one from my LBS this morning, just about done with the swap...ill send the wrong one back to the mail order and have a spare BB...not a bad thing to have an extra of =)

well I gotta get back wrenching =)
ill keep everyone informed!!!
stay stoked

Bad luck with the girl friends - no they were no hopers, you seem to be able to get girl friends so get 3 or 4 that way if one drops out you only have to top up as it were. Also with 3 or 4 you won't be spending so much time with each, that could be a benefit.

The fall from the scaffolding was an accident with good luck - you didn't break anything vital.

Car accident, probably caused by thinking about your 'bad luck' rather than driving.

Wrong equipment is your own fault not bad luck you should have bought all your gear at LBS. If it is as good as mine, you could buy it and they would fit it free while you have lunch bought by one of the girl friends and you would be out riding instead of moping about.

Come on now 2002 beckons and things are going to be better for everyone, all we have to do is talk it up and think positive thoughts.

Right where did I put my bicycle clips.

Take the BB to your LBS and see if they'll exchange it. Doesn't hurt to try, and it may earn them a loyal customer.
