Has anyone had experience with the GT ZR 1.0? It's on sale for a pretty cheap price for a sub-3 lb bike. Does it suck? Doesn't one of the pro teams (Lotto, i think) ride GT? Thanks

Bob

Well, I'm a big guy (6'/190 lbs.) and a GT fan. I have owned three GT mtn. bikes and a couple of months ago I got the ZR 1 Lotto frame you're referring to and built it up with DA/Ultegra and a Mavic Cosmos wheelset. Team Lotto rode these frames in the last TDF and it's a great-handling ride. I recommend it highly! If you like the Euro-trash paint job it's done very well with a superb finish. Otherwise there's a more subdued blue and white job.

I have the blue and yellow ZR 1.0, also built up with DA\Ultegra and love it, heck of a deal at Supergo too.

Yes, these bikes are dope. They are designed to go the distance too. It's too bad about the company.
