My sister-in-law brought me a nice Giordana jersey from a shop in NYC. She got the size right, and it actually looks all right. That was the only cycling-related gift this year. However, I did get some cash that will be used for bike gear: really exciting stuff like a new bottom bracket for the rain bike and new socks. I enjoyed the chainsaw photo.

Same reason women do, because they want to !! Ever travel to Europe and see women with hairy legs ? You might educate yourself all cultural issues aside.
you by definition of your name are a pussy (nm)Fed Up

The greater to kick your ass, Kittenbreath.

Slick legs slide through the air better. Regular shaving toughens the skin against abrasions and weather. Lots of hot women really dig shaved legs, Kittenbreath. They show off those bulging quads we work so hard for. They feel really nice when your girl is giving you a post-ride massage.

Ptooey. Any more questions?

"ptooey?".....did you just attempt to spit on me? what the hell is that about?! "slide through the air better?!" come on, just pedal harder, you jack ass. and what's this about "showing off those bulging quads we work so hard for"....just ride your bike for yourself, not to impress "lots of hot women" would think they would like you for you, not your legs...though, maybe that's all you have to offer, you cock-ass!

Well, I keep forgetting, not every good ole boy chews tobacco. That's a sign of masculinity here in de Souf. No offense intended. I meant it as an aside, as I'm sitting here with a plug in my mouth, and spit in a cup to punctuate the point. Arabs also spit alot to make points during bargaining sessions.

In real life, I'm just a wimp, like you, but I have to admit the chicks like my quads.

If you have ever crashed on the road at a decent rate of speed, you will end up with road rash. The road rash is painful enough without having to pull out all of my leg-hair every time that I have to change the dressing on the wound.

ok, makes sense, though do you also shave your arms as well, since they would more than likely turn into raw meat when you spill?

pretty sad that you worry about the opposite sex shaving their legs. I am sorry to say that sex does not determine whether you can shave your legs or not. Adjust your dogmatic attitude, learn how to speak without profanity and stop shaving your pitifull pistons and see what kind of feedback you get from onlookers.
but, to answer your question,guido

Yes, a great many pro cyclists shave their arms, too. Marco Pantani even shaves his head. Greg LeMond used to shave his chest. Guess it made his HRM work better.

I would but I usually won't come down on any part of my arm but my elbow and That isn't a very sensitive part of the body. I haven't had much trouble taking bandages off of my arms, and therefore I do not shave my arms.
Legs just get it the worst and so it just makes sense, for a kind of preventitive damage control
