I read you no longer ride with Lagrange? Just wonderin' why. There is big news with the racing contingent of the team.... A very big deal for us. Who are you riding for now?

I've been riding unattached since early '99. We moved to Sherman Oaks and with two young kids, I don't have time to get over to the westside for longer rides. I'm usually out the door before the sun comes up and back home by 10 or 11 at the latest on the weekends. I've ridden with the LG people a few times over the past couple of years and just ran into Mimi and Peter G. on Sunday. I know that things have heated up on the racing front for LG. From what I've heard the old weekday morning rides from 26th and San Vicente are now hammerfests. I stopped doing those rides when I switched jobs from Santa Monica to downtown. So, what's the big news on the race scene?

Thanks for replying. Indeed, Tues., and Thurs. are hammerfests. There are still splinter groups taking slower paces though! Friday is the same. Mandeville has the fasties and less fasties as well. I typically do the Montrose ride on Sat. It's a good one. I'll probably pick up the Simi one or two times per month in Jan. and beyond. I ride with SFVBC and Velo Allegro every so often as well. Perhaps I'll see you out there one day.

I work in downtown as well. The early morning weekday trainers work well for me then I hit the gym after work.

We just moved into the realm of the big time sponsor. Minute Maid/Dasani-Lagrange is the new team name. Jersey design was just ok'd. Yeeeehawwwww!

Where are you downtown? Maybe we can hook up for lunch one day. I'm on Wilshire just on the west side of the 110; my home e-mail is mmarkmc@pacbell.net. If you do Mandeville tomorrow, tell Pablo and Marco that Mike McMahon said hello.

Sounds good. Two good fellas. I doubt I'll ride tomorrow, but I'll likely see those guys Thurs., and or Fri. Will do. I usually sacrifice lunch to get in late after riding or get out early for gymming, but if I plan for it, no problem. cioccman@yahoo.com if you'd like, got yours. Take care.
