In an attempt to not only stay in shape this winter but even make some progress I was thinking of getting a rowing machine. Anyone have any suggestions or tips on buying one. Has anyone gone this route for the winter? The machine would be strictly just two to three days a week ( assuming the snow is not too bad this winter). Have seen quite a few on eBay. Any advice on buying one these things would be appreciated.

Thanks

I bought my rower new. A great winter tool for staying in shape, training for power. I use mine in combination with rollers, squat racks, etc.
Be sure to run the range from sprint distances (500M reps) to longer cardio work.
Concept2 has some great workouts in the materials they send with the machines.
The bonus is they last forever with little maintenance.

Two or three days is a long time to be rowing.
