I know this must have been covered before, but the archives are a pain to search, so I was hoping folks could help me out.

Any other suggestions with which people have experience?

Any interest in pooling info about TDF trip possibilities?

at Cycling News. I understand that it is booked already, but they may have a waiting list. Some people will likely have to change plans between now and then. so contact them to find out the score.
This is our first one of these trips, so I can't relate first-hand experience. My research tells me that virtually everyone consides these trips "peak experiences" is all senses of the phrase (except perhapsthe 60's sense).
I compared Bikestyle Tour features--hotels, bus, guides, meals, itinerary -- with a couple of other tours, including VeloSport. The ones I looked at were very similar in all respects except price. Bikestyle is about $2500 per person for 16 days. The others are in the range of $3500 for 10 days. Maybe I'm missing something important, but the math and the chance to ride with Neil Stephens made the choice an easy one.

Good luck.
