there are some better photos on the telekom team site. After looking at several of them, i think Jan is pretty lean. Even if his body fat percentage were the same as Lance's his weight would be significantly more, he is physically bigger. There is a reason he was a good time trialer even when he was young, were guys Lance's size have to wait a few years.

I can't recall seeing him smile like that. I was thinking, "Holy cow, maybe he actually enjoys riding the bike!"

Why does everyone riff about Jans weight? Even at his fattest he is more fit and a better cyclist than any of us could ever dream.
heres a tip...Untill you can out ride him...dont criticize.

Maybe they could enter the tandem in the tour de France, Zabel for the sprints, and Jan for the mountains :-)

The way I look at it Jan is one of the top five cyclists in the world. Unless you can make that same claim maybe you should layoff the guy ...
