|Hello, I'm going to build a set of aero wheels, I think that Velocity Deep-V and D-A hubs are the way to go if you're on a budget, but it's hard to find this rims in Europe. Looking in the Photo Gallery I've found a bike with Mavic Cxp 30 rims and they look great but it seems that Mavic don't make this rims anymore. Anyone knows how old are these rims, and how they performs? |
Thanks in advance, and please excuse my poor english.

|I would presume that the CXP 30's have been replaced by the CXP 33's. Check out Mavic's homepage. www.mavic.com|

|These are CXP33's on our Calfee Tandem.
They seem to be strong and work well for us except for pesky and reocurring pinging sounds from the front wheel. I understand that this is not too uncommon with certain Mavic rims.

|You can get CXP 30's in 28 & 32 hole at www.labicicletta.com for $55. Very strong and aero rim.|

|I have sets of cxp30 and cxp33 wheels. If you can get the 28 spoke 30s pick up a pair , they are not in production any more. They have been replaced by the 33s I believe. Build them up with bladed spokes for a great aero wheel. 33s are slightly less aero, but still make a good wheel. Both rims are now my favorite choice for wheels.|

|I could't find Cxp 30 on my LBS but they have some olds Cxp 14, so I bought them. These are about 28-29mm Deep, 32 holes, silver finish and weight 580 Grams. Now I have to decide betwen black or silver Aero-spokes and hubs. I'll try to post a picture when I'll finish the work.|

|I have a pair of CXP 30's and have had no prob. with them at all. I picked them up cheap at a LBS that was going out of business. I prob. won't use them as much now because I bought a new set of Heliums cheap. (from someone who knows someone at Mavic) so now I'll have another set of beater rims to go along with my old Open 4 CD's.|| |
