Supposedly Lance Armstrong will be in Atlanta, GA on December 4, 2001 to help start the torch relay for 2002 winter olypics. He is the team leader for the relay. Anyone know why and if he will truly be there?

The relay start is in Atlanta (Probably at Coca-Cola's Headquarters) on 12/4 and Armstrong is part of the kickoff, as well as being a torchbearer later on in Austin. From http://www.lancearmstrong.com/:

The Winter O's
11/30 - You'll recall that Lance is the official leader of the 2002 Winter Olympic Torch Relay. As such, he'll be in Atlanta, GA Dec 4, 2001 to help kick things off. The flame, carried by more than 11,000 torchbearers, will travel over 13,500 miles through 125 cities in 46 states. Lance will actually carry the torch through his home town of Austin, TX Dec 11th, and will be a part of it again in San Diego on Jan 14th. The torch will finally arrive in Salt Lake City Feb, 8, 2002, for the start of the Winter Games.
