|Since there's a few of you who read this board I thought I would post this from the Evanston Review's Police Blotter. It sounds like your average encounter. Why is it that professional drivers like deliveryment, taxi drivers, limo drivers, etc, seem to be more annoyed by cyclists that other drivers?
A 25-year-old bicyclist reported that a taxi driver attempted to ram him with his cab during a dispute last Thursday near Isabella Street and Sheridan Road.
The male victim was traveling east on Isabella when he believed that a taxi driver had come precariously close while passing him by.
When the taxi driver reached a stop sign, the bicyclist knocked on his window and advised him to be careful. The victim reported that the driver started cursing and attempted to strike him three times, forcing him off the roadway.
Stay safe out there,
