|I'm in the market for a new workstand in the $100-$200 range. What do you use, like, want? I maintain road and mountain bikes and a tandem. My main road ride is a Softride which may pose a problem. Any suggestions would be welcome.|

|I use both the original Work Force and it's replacement Ultimate Pro workstands.
The offer a stable (albeit wide) adjustable tripod base, adjustable height, rotation and a decent clamping mech... along with being portable.
I can use 'em to wrench on my Vision R50 (strong enough to hold the weight... clamp is wide enough to handle the boom).
They sometimes pop on sale at Performance or REI...

|Looks like their products are designed and built with excellent quality.|

|Everything else is some POS foisted off on the unsuspecting bike public. |
Also, realize that you can buy just the arm and bolt the whole works to your work bench - I use both.

|I too have a Softride (Solo) and I use the Minoura Alien Pro. $120, on sale now at Nashbar. Had it for 4 months, works great. Nice rubber padded clamp. Height adjustable, can rotate bike 360 degrees. Very stable.|| |
