I've read both. The Bicycling Magazine book was fairly unimpressive.

"The Female Cylist" by Gail Bernhardt is excellent. There is an entire detailed chapter regarding how hormonal changes play out and how they effect cycling. Also chapter's on riding while pregnant and riding for senior women. There are several training and weight lifting programs which were adapted from Joe Friel's book as well. I still have my copy from the library (since July) and now owe about $30.00 on it.

Thanks for the link. I really need to buy this book and return the libraries copy.

Some Reflections by the Way by Frances E. Willard
