If you flip a 120 stem to go from a 100 degree rise to an 80 degree rise, what is the change in reach?
Thanks!
about 12mm shorter....C-40

The horizontal projection of an 80 degree, 120mm stem is 119mm (120 x cos7). The horizontal projection when flipped to 100 degrees is 107mm (120 x cos27). The difference is 12mm. If you want the bars to be higher, but not closer, you need one size longer stem with the 100 degree angle.
Wow...good answer!CSIguy
