I saw this at ebay and am too tempted not to bid. A 10 pound mountain bike, what have they been up to at kestrel? If this thing is legit(not stolen) then it is obviously a divorce spite sale.http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1036492781
no such thing as a 10# mtbnm

Whoever wrote that sale was dead wrong. the fork that is on that bike is probably more than 3 pounds itself. there is nothing about that bike that would make it ten pounds. someone picked it up and said "wow that seems like about 10 pounds".

People who steal bikes know more than what the seller gives you there. There's no way it weighs 10lbs, I give it an outside chance at being less than 25lbs. But the parts (hubs most obviously) aren't XT, and you'd think they could have taken the picture from the drive side...The pedals are also hilarious.
Your either stupid or just gullibleHa

My point was to make jest at the sale. The fork weighs 3.4# and the frame is 3.5# alone so frame and fork puts this beast at 7 pounds already. The wheels probably go for around 3000 grams with tires, so that puts it at 14 pounds without componets. I am starting to feel this was part of a messy split up and the man/woman knows nothing about bikes and is just getting rid of it.
Does it come with that cool chrome helmet?(NM)ACE-
