|hey, Look KG281 peole, do you guys have problem with the adjustable dropout slipping? my right one keeps slipping, tighten it and tighten it, afraid i'll strip the nut, any fixes? i was thinking of putting a piece of alu. shim there so it won't slip anymore, any other suggestions?|

|No problem here with two KG 281's. I've even had both dropouts off on both bikes.
Hmmmm..... I'd be careful about just cranking down those little screws. Have you checked to make sure the dropout and frame surfaces are flat and not nicked up?? If all else fails you might consider using some kind of very light glue. Maybe a couple of drops of super-glue might do the trick. The only problem with this approach is that you will have very little chance to fool with the alignment before the glue "sets".
A tiny spacer might also work like you suggested. Would take a bit of file work to get it right.
BTW, are you some monster masher??? :-) BTW: totally schweeeeet bike!

|I had mine move slightly over a couple month period of time. I set them back where I wanted them and tightened them very tight, or at least as tight as I felt comfortable with a 2.5mm allen head bolt. They have been fine since.|| |
