|An electric MTB that doesn't look too bad.||Dutchy|

This may be old I'm not sure but it was in the latest (Nov 19th) issue of Aus Time magazine.
It's the first electric bike I have seen that actually looks like a bike.
I would never buy one but it does look interesting.

|... I honestly see markets for such a beast... we're so car centric in the US that we sometimes swing to the extremes... either full bore 16 cylinder Italian dream machine or sub 16 pound ultra expensive road bike... there's room for other options.
A couple years ago, I was preparing for a ride at a friend's house when up zoomed a woman I used to work with... on board a EV Global ( http://www.evglobal.com/ http://www.electric-bikes.com/others.htm#EV%20Global%20Motors ). Seems she was using the bike for fair weather commutes to and from work (about 9 miles total). Her route took her from the suburban hills down to the valley floor and back again. A near perfect solution for her.
In congested urban areas where driving and parking were at a premium... this is not a bad option despite the weight.
There's more than one way to hold a bird in the bush...
Remain In Light.
