Hey i was wondering if theres a certain gear anybody would put there bike in while their not using it to keep it from haveing to much stress or tension or something on it. Well i know you shouldnt have it in your big chain ring and in the big cassete, but would it be a good idea to have it in my small chainring and my big cassete? It looks pretty straight across. Just wondeing what you guys do.

If you want it in the least tension I would go small ring - small cog. you are not putting any stress on the cain when you are not riding so the full cross wont matter but the spring in the deraileur will be in its most relaxed position.
