|I have been trying to get in touch with the shops on the KU cycling website in order to get a jersey, but cannot get ahold of anyone. They don't return e-mail and don't answer the phone. Also, the website mentions that this is a new jersey, did the 'old' one have a jayhawk on them. I would really like an actual jayhawk on the jersey as well. let me know, and good luck!

|Hello there! Can't get a hold of the jerseys huh? That's kinda odd because all of the shops here in town are stocking them. The kucycling website (when working) has a shot of Ryan Lash in the "new jersey". The old jersey was more of a royal blue and had a large Jayhawk on the chest. The new jersey is much more navy in color, and has the "KANSAS" emblem adorned on the chest. A small Jayhawk sits on the sleeve around the shoulder area. Pretty nice jersey, but I kinda prefered last years. Oh well what can you do. Call Sunflower bike shop before 6! They have tons! 785.843.5000. I don't know what they haven't picked up because they are always willing to help people out. Try Cycleworks @ 785.842.6363 and ask for Ryan Lash or Aaron Walker. They can help you out. Anyways, good luck getting the jersey, if push comes to shove you can always send me a money order, I can buy one, and ship it to you. Let me know if you need more help.|

|Thanks for the reply. There wouldnt happen to be any of the old ones anywhere would there. That one sounds pretty cool, but if not then I definately want to support the program with the new one. i kind of like the new shorts, I'll probably get some of those too. I know there is many on this board that will call me a "poser", but I'm not too worried about it.|

|I agree with you, last years jerseys were very very sexy indeed. But times change and this years duds are growing on me. I have only seen old shorts, no old jerseys, sorry bout that. Try calling Sunflower and see if they have an old one lying around in the backstock or something. Good luck finding one!!!|

As an avid cyclist and Mizzou grad, I'd like to officially say "Booooooo, KU!" (friendly Big 12 ribbing)
I've recently order some of the new MU cycling gear and eagerly await its arrival. I was wondering if you guys knew of any sites that will track the Big 12 cycling teams throughout the season (and other conferences too for that matter). Since they don't get much actual funding from the university and rely on sponsors, I bought a lot of stuff to help out, but also would like to find out if there is any way alumni can call/write/e-mail various university sites to see that the team's bios, results and stories get posted on university athletic sites just like the football and hoops teams. Any info. would be greatly appreciated and good luck to the Jayhawks during the fall MTB 2001 and Spring/Summer 2002 road seasons.

|Rock Chalk Jayhawk! Well as everyone should know this border rivalry thing dates back to civil war times! Every sport is eagerly contested and not easily given up. For those looking for some University jerseys try velogear.com They have some, and I emphasise some... Anyways, as to wishing us luck with the national events, the MTB nationals are over, and KU placed 13th... Pretty strong showing with only 5 riders. We had 3 podium finishes, with the men taking 2 first place, and 2 second place positions in either discipline, while the women took a podium slot in the XC course I believe. Anyways, thanks for the luck in the upcoming road bike nationals, even if it is from Columbia... Good luck this year in basketball, should be a great contest bewteen the 2 schools come conference play!|| |
