What are good rides around Savannah/GA coast, FL coast (panhandle or eastern seashore)? Flat is fine w/me. BTW, weather has been great in NE GA too. 75F last 2 weekends. Almost too hot, at least the humidity is gone. Yes, snowbirds do exist - nothing but Canadian, MN, MI, licence plates when I was in FL in February. Can't really blame them. Dag

if you can make it, go do the sunday "Penney Farms" ride in jacksonville, fl. it leaves open road bicycles a 8 am sharp every sunday morning thru the winter. it us usually about 75-80 miles at an even 18 mph average until january 1st. then it's every man for himself. we did it one february in a bit over 3:30 for 82 miles! great ride though! very little traffic and usually over 50 people on the ride! if it's sunny and relatively warm, expect 75-80 people. call open road at 904/636-7772!

Most beautiful 30 miles you will do in your life. Powder sugar beaches with the emerald water 100 yards away the whole ride. To top it off you will only get passed by 10-15 cars the whole way.
