|Question for you...
...you posted a ride report that seemed to come from the DC area as it mentioned a mountainbike trailhead near the 'Metro.'
What trailhead did you come upon off the Metro? I live in DC and have been looking to add some nearby MTB to my road program. Much thanks!

|Metro Stop. It also puts you fairly close to Sugarloaf, Black Hill and Seneca Creek State Parks, and lots of dirt roads in the area. Miss M and I take about 10 road miles to get warmed up anyway so the Metro is a perfect start for any of these rides.
If you are in any kind of shape you can just ride out there from the city do a loop or 2 then ride home. A nice 60 mile day. The Metro was really convienent, you would probably need to clean off some of the dirt before taking the Metro home.

|to ride from metro to Shaeffer Farms (don't ask why)
I just drive to trailhead, pass and go to Gambril
btw I think Patapsco trails not that far from BWI MARC station (also Germantown MARC station is ~2-3mi from Shaeffer's)
