TDF & Colnago C40(9 posts)

TDF & Colnago C40Ken
Nov 9, 2001 2:06 PM
A friend of mine asked me why he didn't see any C40s at the TDF this year. He saw CT1s and some other Colnagos but no C40s. Were there any C40s at the TDF? If, there weren't any why?

A curious C40 owner,
Ken

I don't remember seeing any either. Lots of aluminum in the TDF. Is Telekom on the Prince? Right off the bat, I don't remember any team other than Postie that was on carbon. I'm sure there were though.

Kelme, Credit Agricole and Big Mat all rode carbon LOOK kg281's in the Tour.

DA on a C-40Tig

No, this is NOT a Campy vs. Shimano thread. I like both for different reasons and can't bash either. But, to put anything other than Record 10 on a fine bike like a C-40 is almost sacrilege! I'm not talking functionality, but style and tradizione. It just wouldn't "feel" right in my mind with DA. Shallow, but still real. Flame away!

I agree, it's sucks for DA to be on any Colnago.
