Anyone know where I can find some Roubaix, fleece lined, or heavyweight Lycra bib knickers with a chamois for cheap? I'd like a pair of these, but paying $70 was not part of the plan. Thanks.

I have bought stuff from www.bikejerseys.com in the past. They sell good quality stuff for less than most.

Everyone has spoken well of www.bikejerseys.com. I have a pair of bib knickers on order that should get here today or tomorrow. I'll let you know how they work out but I'm confident they'll be just fine. The price is $48.50 (plus shipping, of course).
Another endorsement for bikejerseys.com, especially...RhodyRider

...Santini "roubaix" bib knickers. Excellent quality, very comfy, great fit.

beats the heck out of $100 Pearl Izumi. Voler had a sale awhile back or you can also try the iffy longscycle.com

Voler (www.velowear.com) has bib knickers for about $60 a pair, but I don't know if they're heavy enough for your purposes. I have two pairs of Voler bib shorts and they're great. I plan to order some of the knickers as soon as I get some spare cash.

Bikejerseys.com carries the Santini stuff that is the Roubaix weight that you seek. He also has some bib tights that are nice and warm. I grabbed a pair of Polti team bibtights that are wind and water resistant, double thick at the knees, great stuff. You could always chop and hem the non team kit, I have Santini knickers and tights and there is no gripper rubber on the knickers at the knees.
