I have a sweet jersey from the U. Colorado Cycling Team, proud to be a Buff!

I assume you mean N. Carolina, we have a UNC in Colorado too (U. Northern Colorado)

Found this link for the U. North Carolina cycling club:

If they don't have one, they can probably tell you who does. You could check the local bike shops there too. Your husband is a lucky man to have such a cycling-friendly wife! Good luck!

I know of a shop in chapel hill that sells them. The clean machine. They probably have a website and can hook you up.

I was able to find a jersey from UVA through directly through their cycling team - looks like you can do the same for UNC - here is the link:

click on the apparel link on the left hand side of the screen - below might be a picture of the jersey...

Just got the Velogear Fall/Winter catalog in the mail last week. In the center page they list college jerseys "from the country's best cycling teams".... But I guess UNC didn't make the list (Sorry - cheap dig from a Bulldog). Try their website at If you come across any that are in US sizing, let me know. I'm looking for one from UGA, but the ones in Velo are in European sizes - not big enough.

Sorry I didn't see your post the other night till after you'd signed off. You going to get a bulldog jersey? I checked out, but they are out of XXL. Their site kinda sucks because they give no sizing information. But the catalog sez Euro sizing on the UGA jersey, which means way to small for me! I'm going to Houston next week where I'll have a scanner - I'll send you a picture of the 'new' bike.

Nah, $65 is over my limit for jerseys. Send me the pix of your bike when you can. I'd love to see it. Are you still planning a trip to Charlotte? The weather has been fantastic in NC. We're going to Clayton for Thanksgiving and I'm planning to bring my mountain bike, ride up the the Tallulah River and some other forest service roads.

Doesn't look like it. Travel budgets are real tight and the meeting I was going to has been moved to Orlando instead of N.C. I will probably get there in Jan or Feb though.

Weather here has been great too, I've been averaging 140-170 a week since I got the bike out of the shop in early Sep. It's getting where I am avoiding travel so I don't miss any rides while the weather is good. I have been riding almost every day at lunch, plus still getting in a metric distance ride in on Sundays.

Took the Pocket Rocket to Atlanta a couple of weeks ago - stayed at Colony Square and rode Piedmont Park. Next day did a 50 miler on a new paved trail called the Silver Comet. Starts in Smyrna and goes through Cobb, Paulding and Polk counties on an old RR bed. Fantastic weather and ride, but tough to find water.

PS - Why don't you ask Santa for the jersey? I've been dropping hints with Kris for a couple of PI microbrew jerseys I like.

the Alumni Association as well. I've seen a couple of schools (CU, PSU, and Cal-Davis) sell them through that channel.
