|Their products are poor quality and their customer service makes the DMV look like Neiman Marcus.
I'm still waiting for a reply from these jokers on my second POS SR3 rear wheel.

|I made the mistake of buying their Roks XE MTB wheels a few years back, which admittedly were a bad design, and fatigued prematurely and were not rebuildable as expected. None the less, I broke a spoke/blade a couple days before a 24 hr race and called their customer service. The service guy "Andreas" if I recall, was excellent, he sent out a new set of Spox, no charge, and I got them up here in Canada in 2 days in time for the race. All I had to do was send in the serial # stickers from the old wheels so they couldn't be warrantied again. By the way, the Spox are amazing wheels, I trained and raced them for three years without a single problem, and I'm 190lbs. They accelerate lightning fast, but are a touch flexy, not enough to be bothersome though. Bought another set for my wife and she is just as happy. Sorry to hear they aren't treating you well, but I have no complaints.|

|I'll bet people who don't like spinergy are also in denial that Shaq is the "most valuable Player" in the NBA.|

|I felt guilty selling an almost new spox set for $200, I lost $300. They are crap, the rear hub never stayed tight. A touch flexy?????????!!!!!!!!! They are so flexy I almost crashed because I hit a bump in the apex of a downhill turn.
Shaq is a scoring machine because of his size he is not a complete ball player like Kobe or Micheal. Could you imagine the size of his bike, he could probably flex any frame.

|Oh where oh where are my Spox wheels? Have not seen them since I sent them in for broken nipples in early September for the second time since I got them 9 months ago. They are sweet wheels whenever I got to ride them without a spoke dangling. Got a lot of excusses, but no wheels yet.|

|Doesn't sound like much fun having to send them back so frequently. Life is too short to be messing with marginal stuff and dopey companies. The service guys are probably flooded with returned product and all they can do is replace the marginal parts with new marginal parts. They're porbably losing their shirt financially and have had to lay people off to reduce expenses - either that or they're busy with the latest "design of the month".|

|Why would you send them in for a broken spoke nipple? They are totaly servicable. Buy a couple spare spokes from Spinergy and keep them in your tool box. I have three spokes in my toolbox, but I have never had to use them. My wheels have been perfect. For the guy who "almost crashed in an apex" either work on your skills, or tension up the wheels. They need to be retensioned after breakin just like any other wheel. I have a set of Chris King hubs built up on 317 disk rims, and I have had more broken spokes on those than the Spinergys|

|I've had three of their wheelsets, two Spox and one set of SR-3's. All three had hub failure! The truly wonderful thing was their CRAPPY customer service! It took five weeks on average to get each set back and the SR-3's broke again one week later! The whole time I was dealing with customer service, they would NEVER return phone calls. I had to call almost daily to try to get answers and get lucky to catch a rep when he was at his desk. Not much fun!
Can you imagin how many watts Shaq would generate?
|Spinergy Rev X - worth considering.||Sprockets|

|They finally worked the bugs out of these a few years ago to the point where they are reliable enough, especially for a Carbon wheelset.
Are they light? No, but neither is the Cosmic Carbone.
Nov 8, 2001 9:44 PM
|yea right! you guys have way to much attutude! or jealousy! Spinergy REV X wheels are super aero, super fast, very reliable, and reasonably light for a Carbon aero wheel. Plus they never need trueing! what more could you want? These are some of the greatest wheels ever made! although some of their other wheels really stink and you would have to be a moron to put carbon spokes on a mountain bike. Lets not lump all spinergy products together. The Rex X wheels scream!|

|coming from experience with these wheels. early and later versions. they suck and are a very dangerous design. hey, if you like them then that's great for you. i sold a pair of rev x's for 250 bucks and felt bad charging somebody that much for a death trap. i also included documentation concerning the catastrophic failures associated with the rev x.|| |
