Should I ride easily today after the double metric Saturday and Sunday? I do not feel like it, but maybe I should.

Don't want to stiffen up too much. 3-10 miles maybe, ride easy just until you start to loosen and warm up. Then go have a nice nap.

After weekends with heavy mileage (100 miles plus), I always find that a nice, short, easy spin on Monday -- or maybe even some time on the trainer -- makes the old legs feel better the rest of the week. FWIW

The day after a long ride I run and vice versa. I like to get the blood flowing through the legs without using the same muscles the same way. That plus Vitamins C&E are my tickets to quick recovery.

My wife has suggested walking. I am a great advocate of Vitamin C, use it every day! Primates and the Guinea pig are the only ones that cannot produce Vitamin C as an end product. We are an evolutionary dead end. We are lucky we can get it in the diet (ha-ha).
