i guess he doesn't need and reflectors or illuminite clothing.
yuck !!! it would look so pretty with all those logo's gone. and tht seat has to go. less is more. |
| re: have you ever seen an uglier bike? | VictorChan Nov 4, 2001 8:10 PM | | I am getting dizzy just by looking at it. :-) |
| Who makes the frame? | mickey-mac Nov 4, 2001 8:28 PM | | I can't quite make out the discreet logos. |
| Who makes the frame? | EllsworthRider Nov 5, 2001 4:49 PM | | Its a Specialized Festina |
| Right | mickey-mac Nov 5, 2001 5:04 PM | | It was supposed to be sarcasm. I guess it didn't come across that way. BTW, I gave pretty serious consideration to an Ellsworth Flight when I was shopping for a new bike at the beginning of the year. It's going to be on the short list when I convince my wife to let me buy another bike. Enjoy. |
| Right | EllsworthRider Nov 6, 2001 3:14 PM | | Oh ok.
BTW I have a Ellsworth flight and love it. |
| re: have you ever seen an uglier bike? | tr Nov 4, 2001 8:43 PM | | I don't think it is so ugly, Cipollini is riding it next season, and he is mister fashion in the cycling world. He has done alot for modernizing attitudes in cycling. |
| re:Yes, but he'll be wearing sun glasses! nm | dzrider Nov 5, 2001 5:16 AM | | |
| Don't your seat and tape look like that? | spookyload Nov 4, 2001 8:45 PM | | If not go out and ride it more. That is what happens to a seat and tape when they get sweat on. It looks well used to me. On the other hand, if he ridden those wheels as much those tires would look brown. So in summary it is a ridden bike with picture wheels. |
| Festive | Crankist Nov 4, 2001 9:13 PM | | Nothing wrong with that. |
| Its a very common bike... | Bruno S Nov 4, 2001 9:57 PM | | Its a Team Festina Specialized. Moreau used one to win the TdF prologe this year. I see them often around here. |
| Ugly Bicycle? I've never heard of such a thing. | cyclinseth Nov 5, 2001 5:14 AM | | All bicycles are beautiful. Especially if they are riden and loved unconditionally. |
| i'll take it (nm) | climbo Nov 5, 2001 6:06 AM | | nm |
| re: have you ever seen an uglier bike? | dagnelson Nov 5, 2001 6:21 AM | | I kinda like it, very loud, unlike my very subdued black Trek. Dag |
| not so bad | Dog Nov 5, 2001 6:55 AM | | I've seen much worse. As a pro bike, not so bad. I don't think I'd take it to my local century, though.
No stealth points, that's for sure.
I bought those same tires, but never mounted them. They clash with my bike paint horribly.

| yup | macster Nov 5, 2001 7:38 AM | | Colnago Geo (or any Colnago for that matter)- just hideous. |
| Loud-yes. Ugly? No. | look271 Nov 5, 2001 7:39 AM | | Not my taste, but not ugly. |
| Kinda badass, actually. | nigel Nov 5, 2001 10:51 AM | | Sure, the seat and tape are well worn, but the bike's a typical pro-issue number. I'd certainly take it if it were my size.
Gaudy for sure, but I like the paint job/color scheme.
To each his reach, I suppose. :)
