|HELP!!!I am in the frozen north... I hear there is something new on the market which connects to your tv and your bike!!!! Near Canada I spend time (6 months)pedaling and looking at my wall... Can somebody please tell me where to get one of these devices.... It provides an image to your television so it looks like you are going somewhere.. and the feedback to the steering and the rear wheel make it life like... Thank you for all your time..

|Maybe you're thinking of the CompuTrainer.
It doesn't do all of what you've described, but it does much of it, and it's a great tool for keeping indoor training interesting.
I've had one for ten years--the older model that ran through an Atari and a TV--and it's been great. The new computer-based models give you lots more in the way of visuals and information.
To top it off the hardware is extremely well made and the company's customer service has been great.
Expensive, but well worth it. There's also an active marked in used units on ebay.
Check it out at http://www.computrainer.com

|Brian, Sounds to me like the computrainer software. Some of the others on the board can probably |
fill in more accurate info, but I think the trainer and software package will run somewhere in the
neighbourhood of $1500.00 to $2000.00. Check on your search engine, they probably have
a website. A lot cheaper is a VCR and old TdF videos! That's what I lobotomize myself with
all winter here in Edmonton.

|Try the Tacx I-magic. It's a turbo trainer that connects to a computer and lets you "ride" in road races and on a velodrome. It looks like a video game on your PC. I believe it changes the amount of resistance depending on the gradient of the road it's simulating. You can also get an add-on which allows you to "steer" so you can draft and the like when you play the games!
It's about £400 sterling (that's English funny money) for the trainer and another £100 sterling for the steering thingy.
