a breakthrough in bar tape design (???)dupe

spotted in europe , made by cinelli a new bar tape with illuminite strips by 3M.

not a bad idea, i guess.

and i notice that they have them attached on their new ram (bar/stem). supposed to weigh something like 300 grams total but will be priced around $350. mere speculation by me, of course.

funnily enough, no mention of either on cinelli's site.

ciao, ben

I saw this tape in a Boston area shop earlier this week. It cost $20 if I recall correctly.

In the past, I have used a reflective tape to finish off the tape job, but this will clearly be more visable. I wonder how long it will last though?
does anyone have them in stock in NYC ??? (nm)dupe

I saw it at REI in Atlanta last week. I looked at it but wasn't convinced that the reflective strip would hold up very long.
