Hey, Does anybody have any good recommendations for a good frame painter? I can't powdercoat or it voids warranty. So I need a nice paint job without having to sell my car-or my bike. Thanks.

Joe Bell at JB refinishing is one of the best, he does Holland's custom frames. You can contact him at 619-469-4312.He is in San Diego.

Has anyone ever dealt with 'The Color Factory'? Are they any good? I did speak with Joe Bell and they are a serious consideration. I just want to do a couple of comparisons for my own piece of mind. Lotsa money going into bike & want to do it right. Thanks for replies.

You will not find a better paint job that JB. Period. I have his paint jobs on my Richard Sachs and Bill Holland bikes. They are absolutely flawless.

Other excellent painters include Cyclart in Vista, CA. They specialize in restorations, but do excellent work on any paint project. Brian Baylis in La Mesa, CA does magnificent paint work, as well as making a very small number of incredible frames. All are expensive.
