|i looked on cycle-ops training page..could someone pls tell me what heart rate zones are..they list HR1, HR2, HR3, HR4|

|... this is the generally accepted format for cycling...
zone 1... 65-81 % LTHR (Lactate Threshold Heart Rate)
zone 2... 82-88 % LTHR
zone 3... 89-93 % LTHR
zone 4... 94-99 % LTHR
zone 5a.. 100-102% LTHR
zone 5b.. 103-105% LTHR
zone 5c.. 106+% LTHR
Zones are generally sports specific. LTHR would have to be determined by a variety of methods (Stress test (expensive) or personal training modes (time trials)) which are explained in the text mentioned below.
In order to reap the most benefit, you'll need to put together a specific program... there are good general text ("Precision Heart Rate Training" edited by Edmund R. Burke, PhD and Joe Friel's "The Cyclists Training Bible" to name two) available at your LBS, bookstore or library.
