Ciocc Aluminio vs Scattante Airplanemorey

I am trying to decide between these frames for my son. I(we) had Ciocc steel frames which we liked. My son is primarily a recreational rider, however he is fast. What should I do?

I don't know anything about the Aluminio, but you can't go wrong with Ciocc. I'd consider their EOM or EOM Carbon (carbon seat stay) with the TIG welded super light Dedacciai steel tubeset, KET heat treatment and rust-proofing.

The Scattante is a great deal though. The quality may not be as high.

Also take a look at some of the other aluminum frames at http://www.wrenchscience.com/WS1/Road/Frames/Frame2.asp?FrameMaterial=Aluminum
Being young gives him the advantage of not being bothered by a slightly harsher ride of big tubed aluminum.
