Has anyone else seen the 02 line of OCLV frames from Trek? There is about 30 new "custom" paint options and you can now get them with campy.

The Trek website appears to have been updated for 2002, and there's no mention of either Campy or more than 2 color schemes. Add to that the fact that the Trek tech guy told me that the 2001 OCLV was incompatible with Campy10- though I think he was on crack, mine works just fine.

Don't know about the campy, but I got to tour the Trek plant that makes the OCLVs this summer and got to see some of the prototypes for the new paint schemes. So yes, there are definitely some new paint schemes, and they looked pretty good to me. If I remember right, the guy at the factory said the cutom paint jobs would only add about $200 per frame.

Yes he was on something... There are still two stock colors and those come with Shimano but on the Trek custom form you can chose record 10 or Centaur 10 with either a double or triple. Some of the custom frames have flames and some look like the paint schemes on Treks 20 years ago. Super cool and I am not a big trek groupie. (Just because I can't get a pro-deal on one)

I think this will allow a lot of people to appreciate the technology without looking like a postie wannabe. No offense Andy the wannabe...

When I sent my wrecked frame to Trek after my accident, I got to pick my frame paint job. I chose the white Postie paint scheme because I have a picture of me, Lance and Tyler Hamilton in the Alps, courtesy of Photoshop®.

But I get points because no one else in my club has a white Postie bike. The others are all blue or silver.

And besides. I'm entitled.

As in, "Gosh, I'm just happy to be here."

In some circles those would be negative points. Must be a Trek OCLV club. I get points for my Super Man underwear, always have. I'm entitled.

Nothing quite like entitlements......
Entitled???? what makes you so special?? nm...jaybird

Trek announced the new paint options at this years interbike. They look great. I was told cost may range from $200 - $600 depending on the paint option chosen. I was also told the program is set to start in November of this year.
