im just starting out and i need to get some shoes but i wear a size 15. can anyone help me out as to where i can find some in the $150 range (or cheaper) in big sizes? also if anyone knows for sure the shoes feel good that would be great since ill probably have to order them and i would rather not order a bunch of junk shoes to find 1 good pair. thanks.
ps. i live in chicago but go to college near indianapolus so if theres any good stores in those areas with big shoes i could go directly there.

They make the Genius3 shoe up to a Euro size 50 in both the standard width last and the Mega last. They are a bit above your price range, but some good internet searching on them may yield lower prices than is normal for these shoes. Also check on E-bay for them. They are being replaced by the G4 next season, so you should be able to find a good deal.

I wear a size 14 and use Sidi Genius 3's in a Euro size 49. New this year, is a narrow model to compliment the normal and mega (wide) models.

Colorado Cyclist has them listed in its catalog. Good luck.

You might still see some old Nike Road shoes that are avilable in big sizes.

I ordered a pair from REI-Outlet and the shoes were junk and ran about 3 sizes small.

Sidi Genious is the only thing that would fit my Yetti feet.
Diadora Elites & Jalapenos, $39.95 from Nashbarcory

I've worn 15s for 25 years, and until recently, they were almost impossible to find--I rode in running shoes until I was in my 30s.
Sidis are nice, but pretty expensive for ordinary people--about $180. Diadora makes a mountain bike shoe, the Jalapeno, that lists for $80 but has been on sale at Nashbar all summer for $39.95. I ordered one pair and liked them enough that I got another for when they wear out. They carry to size 52; the 50s are perfect on my 15D feet.
There's also a road shoe, the Elite, I think, for the same price. I ordered a pair of those from Performance in May, waited four months ("They'll be in next week"), canceled and got a pair from Nashbar in four days. Haven't used them yet, but for the money, they look fine.
