I'm looking at a used road bike with these, but can't find any reviews. Are these a limited edition? Anybody know anything about them? They are red, white, and blue. Thanks.

Yes, they're a limited edition version. Same as the standard Axial Pros otherwise, hence I'd rate them.

you can expect excellent performance and comfort. They'll have a life of about 2500 miles on good roads if rotated (front to back). It's hard to gauge mileage on a used tire, but the flatter the center band, the more the wear. Look closely for brown casing threads showing through on the center contact surface. Don't be too alarmed by slight nicks in the side wall, so long as they haven't penetrated the casing.

I had understood that the various multi-colored, special editions were the race light version of the Pros. Brit racer probably has better info than I do. Nonethless, if I am correct, understand that they are not recommended for training or touring purposes.

Either way, the decision to or not to buy any bike should not be weighed on the type of tire. I'd probably replace them right off the bat if I bought a used bike. That is, unless they were obviously very very new. Just my opinion.
