Looks like you and the wee cutie (Spinchick Jr.? S-chick v. 2.0? Spinchickadee?) are having a wonderful, relaxing time. Wish I were there!

At last, we can put a face to that name. Thanks for all of the attempts.

I don't have any recent shots of myself scanned in, or I'd certainly contribute. I'll work on it.

Knitting tips would be nice. Send us your picture in one of the cute little sweaters you wear for winter riding.
Tip #1: Don't try to take your knitting needles on an airplanemickey-mac

Those poor people who travel the country to knit will now have to FedEx their knitting needles to their destinations.

Oct 18, 2001 9:30 AM're "not one of us."

We've been trying to put faces with our screen names for quite a while, on and off, since we spend so much time together online. Nothing wrong with this; a normal inquisitiveness, I'd think.

And hey: if people can actually make friends or riding buddies from this board, more power to them.

Sod off if you don't give a monkey's. Keep it to yourself, pal.

I was just saying this IS a cycling forum and not a personals column. Take it offline if you want to flirt with each other or I will email your husbands and wives with this URL!! (just kiddin on the last part but I bet they wouldn't think much of your on-screen romances)

name, everyone here would be more likely to take you seriously. Until then, flame on to your heart's content. It's not going to change anything among the people who truly make up this community. But then again, since you're wasting your time reading threads that don't appeal to you, you probably don't care if you waste your time flaming people either.
Let's just ignore this flaccid pr;ck!Tig

Responding to his flames is what the poor wee-willied lad wants, so let's not lower ourselves to his level.

So you do get out from under your rock here and there, I see. Apparently, the Spinal Tap debut was your last venture into the real world. Sad.

Visit other forums elsewhere, o Dreaded Fred. Many of us have met/made great friends through the forum here. If you don't like our mini-conversations--or feel too left out--then don't tune in. Simple enough for you?

We've got great lives. Yours, I'd venture is bloody enough for all of us. I'd venture most of us prefer a bit less spittle and vent in ours.
We share a healthy, exciting and worderful pastime. Let's attempt to live life without adding to the pain in the world.

to whom cycling is only a part of a varied life. An important part true, but only a part. As a family man I expect to share other parts of my life (personal and professional) as part of the process of getting to know other people with similar interests-not just the cycling part which to me is usually better to do than to talk about.

I appreciate the varied life experiences posted here. I have picked up all sorts of ideas that can be directly applied to my life or that I can relate to. It would be nice if you wanted to join this process but isn't necessary for our enjoyment of it.

When someone posts a campy vrs shimano or downhilling or most equipment threads I generally just skip right past them since these topics bore me to tears. When people post about life experiences-relating to bicycling or not-I'll join right in. But I am not going to tell anyone what not to post since this is an open forum. I hope some of the posters who have been negative will begin to add to the depth of this forum-if not, so it goes no loss to me.

funny how everyone starts screaming "this is a cycling forum" when someone else posts a question about America's war in Afghanistan and other stuff like that, but now they yup about how cute S-kid is. Friggin' discrimination.
I've always said that cycling is not only about bikes or riding. Its an important part of our lives, JUST like ANYTHING ELSE FOR THAT MATTER. Everything should be discussed here. That is why I dislike when people say this forum is for cycling only. It is sad that they are picky: if they like the topic, they chime in, if they hate it they flame it. Come on, its either "white" or "black." You can't always change sides. This is not directed to you, MB1.

Just an observation

Get it? :-) Just a little humor. For a laugh or two. (Sometimes it's hard to predict whether y'all will laugh or groan, or even whether you laughed or groaned.)

If a poster, especially a regular, wants to show us what they look like, that's relevant. Most are interested. If they also happen to be female and gorgeous, well, then, most are interested. :-)
