Evgeni Petrov (Rus) won what had to be a tough race. Danny Pate managed 13th place (out of about 155 entries) and led a 20 man bridge to the breakaway group. There were about 50 riders who abandoned!

Saturday's Jr Men and Elite Women races should be good, but the Men's Elite on Sunday is the one to watch. Wouldn't it be cool of Jan managed a second rainbow jersey? Hey, anything can happen and he is in great form.
thank you Mr. Liggett!nfm

What is it about all these loosers who have to attack while hiding behind "nm" or "nfm"? You are a weak and pathetic soul that isn't worth the O2 you breath. Get a F'ing life or come out of hiding like a man!

Petrov won both the road race and time trial last year, so clearly this guy is going to be one of the next great riders. Mapei snapped him up last year, but they have never quite figured out stage racing. Telekom or USPS should grab this guy when his contract comes up.
Nope, Petrov is a senior now, it was Popovych.JS

with his trade team teammate Caruso second. Popovych is the #1 ranked U-23 rider. Petrov won U-23 tt and RR last year.
