FYI, Mozilla seems to take forever loading the little graphics to the left of each link to each msg, so the index/view pages in the discussion takes a long time.
It doesn't do the double reload that Netscape does (related to unicode font I think) though, so it's faster using Mozilla still...
hmmm....I've actually experienced this myself...gregg

...using Netscape so I know what you mean. The graphic is the little "dot" image.

We've been trying to track the unicode problem, and I believe certain Netscape users may still be experiencing, but we have been able to cut down on the number of times this happens.

Is this problem for you occasional or every time? I will check with ask one of our engineers if they have any insight into this Mozilla problem.

For the Mozilla problem w/ the little dot graphic, it's solid. I can reproduce it all the time w/ the latest build of Mozilla.

For Netscape, the unicode problem is not as consistent as it used to be. If I spawn off a new page with a msg link (I usually look at the thread list, then right click and bring up a new window for each thread I want to read), the new page seems to have the reload unicode problem. The original page does not.

BTW, how is .Net working out so far? Development environment and server stable?
What Mozilla browser are you using?gregg

This was the first question that our engineer said I should ask. Basically, he said that our code is optimized for IE since our stats show that over 80% of our users use IE. We do support Netscape, although there seems to be a big difference depending on which version you are using.

Personally, I use Netscape 4.75, and most of the unicode problems are gone for me.

.Net is working out well, as I'm sure many of you can tell, it is more stable now then when we first switched over. However, we are still working on getting the system dialed in just right, so any of you out there who still experience performance problems, please continue to be patient.

It's been happening for a while (ever since you switched over). Build ID is 2001100903 on a Win2K system.

I use the latest Netscape 4.78 normally, but the unicode problems are reproducible.

I'm still boycotting MSIE because it's a security hole ;-)

I am another one of these Unix hippies who prefers Mozilla. I'm using the latest release, 0.9.4 and I also experience the same problem with slow rendering on the site. This is the only site where I have experienced the problem and it seems to be the indentation scheme used.

It is kind of a bummer because most everything else is quite snappy and nice with Mozilla and this is one of my favorite sites. I hope this info helps.
