??- Campy Racing Triple - Can I Put on a 39?Fausto

On my "workhorse" bike, I'm currently using a Campy Daytona Racing Triple and would like to replace my 42 with a 39. Me thinks Campy does not sell a triple 39 middle ring. Is there an after-market company that does and will it work.

Thanks in advance for your kind help.

Campy sells an alternate Racing Triple with 30-40-50. Could you put the 40 on your current 30-42-52?
Dunno, but...muncher

I have a Campy 40 on mine (30/40/50) so you could use one those - not a big difference, esp if you have 9 at the other end, and the shifting might be better too?

My Racing T was 30-42-52, I replaced the 42 with a 40.
No problems. Exact part is available from www.branfordbike.come
Why would you want to?Chris Zeller

Are you trying to match cadence with people using doubles? Trying to train for a double? I think the larger middle ring is to give you a more even range. By adding a lower gear you would most likely find more duplication in your two lowest chainrings. With 10 gears on the rear and three on the front I can't believe that you can't find the gear that you want.
prob a triple thing3x

somebody prob made a comment about having a triple on ride so now he/she/it wants to pull the little ring and have an effective double
