Bike Route from North Denver to Greeley, COKSC

I may be pushing my luck getting an answer to this question, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Does anybody know a good route to travel from North Denver area to Greeley, CO? I know I-25 has an access road, but I don't how continuous it is. I have no idea how the shoulder is on Hwy 85. If you can help you can e-mail cripps@colorado.edu

Thanks!

I've taken a couple of routes up that way.

You can take the Clear Creek Bike Path over to the North Platte, and take the North Platte Bike Path all the way to its end. Then jump on Riverdale Road and continue all the way north to Brighton. This is a much prettier more quiet route than any major road.

At Brighton you can take the business loop of 85 north to Ft. Lupton. It is just a little quieter than 85. After Ft. Lupton you can either use Hwy 85 (it has a great shoulder but is pretty busy and loud) or get a map. The county roads in Weld county are mighty purty!

As for I-25, the frontage road is continuous all the way north to Hwy 34, and Hwy 34 has a good shoulder to Greeley. But those are busy high speed roads and I'd guess you get tired of the road noise.

Sounds like fun!!!
