|Received my new Cervelo Prodigy...WOW!!! Nice ride...||russg|

|After much pouring through reviews & riding many bikes. I stumbled accross the Cervelo Prodigy and checked the specs at their web site www.cervelo.com It has the best full 853 steel shaped tubing, full Ultegra drivetrain, carbon seat post and forks, Spinergy wheelset and I found it at supergo for only $1,399 as they are moving the 01's out the door for next model year. This is the sweetest ride I have ever been on, I don't have much to compare to as I'm kind of a beginning road biker and compared to my last bike, A Bianchi Campione, there's just no comparison. This bike rides similar to me to the Trek 5200 I test rode at only a fraction of the cost. I just came back from a quick 30 mile ride and I feel absolutely NO fatigue, the only change I made, was putting on my Terry Liberator seat. If your in the market for a new bike and aren't planning on spending mega bucks, check this ride out! I'm in heaven.|

|encouraging others I know to consider it. If I were in the market for a bike at that price range, I would have seriously looked at this one. The only thing is that you should lose that seat and saddle bag. Way too big, takes away from the nice lines of the bike. ANyway, good luck and enjoy it.|

|The seat? Who cares. Ride what your butt likes. But that saddle bag.... |
I'm thinking ... Performance Trans-It, Micro, which is black and red, tiny, holds a tube, Alien, patch kit, CO2 ... perfect!!
Glad to hear it's a nice bike. Supergo is a good company to deal with, in my experience.
My Trek, meanwhile, STILL sits in the dining room, staring at me.

|Cervelo's an interesting company, turning out great product and great value. That quality frameset |
at that price is a steal. Better even than the LeMond Zurich.

|Cervelo has a very outstanding reputation among the tri-geeks in Canada, and the roadies here are starting to sing their praises as well. The company pays a lot of attention to details and tube shaping. If I ever get enough cash to buy a new bike, it might just be a Cervelo (although I dearly love the Trek I have now).|

|This one hell of a nice looking bike. I hope you enjoy it every minute you ride. Nothing like a new bike to make your spirit soar!|
|Very purty. Glad to hear that your research paid off. Enjoy,||bill|

|but, I gotta agree, lose the saddle bag (is that a lock? held on by rubber bands?). Harder to argue with the saddle, because your butt's gotta feel good, but I think that a sleeker saddle would look nicer, too. |
None of which affects the ride, of course. Good ride AND a good deal -- it's a good day!

|Well done, sir! Forget people's critique of the saddle, ride what your butt likes! I've got a pretty large saddle bag on my Serotta, but hey, it's functional for carrying stuff! When you're stranded, those seatbags are real nice to have. Have fun!|| |
