|The Waco ride was great! I completed my first 100k, which was 23 miles further than any of my previous rides. I rode with a few nice people form the Greater Dallas Bikers group. A friend I'm taking my velodrome class with invited me to ride with them. The first half of the ride was fairly flat. The second half had a few hills but nothing to quit over. Plus we had plenty of energy going into the second half of the ride because our 30-mile rest stop was at the Mars candy factory. They make M&M's, Skittles and Snickers. The staff there was great and gave us all the candy, water, green juice and fruit we could consume. I finished in about 3 hrs 35 min. with an 18.5 mph average. The other riders were very supportive, and were impressed that I would choose a 100k as my first rally. Saturday night I was toast, but felt well enough to move into a new place on Sunday (Not that I had a choice). I think I'm going to train throughout the winter and do my first century in the spring.
Thanks for all the support and advice many of you have shared to get me to this point.

|Good ride. It's a great feeling to push yourself further than you thought you could go and succeed.
