does anyone know anything about elite trainers..saw one adv in bicycling magazine but it is not on their website...it is the volare elite...any info would help...ride safe

I saw the same ad and was wondering about this as well. I would additonally like to know how it compares with the CycleOps 2 and the Kurt Kinetic Road Machine. Also, where in the US can one be purchased and the price you should expect to pay. Thanks!

Performance rebrands it as their traveltrac 2000. I've had one with the variable fluid resistance unit for a couple of years. Works great, plenty of resistance, very stable stand, well constructed.

The Performance Traveltrac2000 and fluid adjustable are great. Just got one (trainer and resistance unit) on sale for $189. Check out the website. performancebike.com
