|1) What magnet do you use?
2) Do you use the little protective disc that came with them? I was going to, but it scrubs the spokes once the cassette is mounted.

|Cateye magnet that bridges across two spokes near the hub
I always remove those discs from every wheel I've ever had. If your derailleur is adjusted properly, you won't need it.

|I was told the Mavic has a wheel magnet, but is 1-2 months behind on shippment. You might check your lbs.
I've used the Catseye & it works. However, I recently got something caught in the spoke which mangled the magnet & bent a spoke. Since I bought the bike used I did not get the spoke wrench, etc(hope you did, if not check into it). Also, it took me awhile to get the spoke & now I'm waiting on the spoke wrench. Luckily the wheel has help up ok.
Nice wheels though!!! You'll like 'em!!!

|They often have a box of discarded magnets. I use an old Sigma magnet with my Cateye Mity 3 computer. It mounts with a small screw and fits near the hub where the blade is round. I may have had to enlarge the unthreaded portion of the slot. |
My wheels came with the Campy cassette already mounted by Total Cycling. They had removed the disc without my having to ask.
