How can I develop the muscle that is on the inside of my knee? When I partially squat my knee is very bony and juts outward. There is hardly any muscle on the inside. Plus, what is the diameter of the largest part of your leg?
Sounds like you need the Susan Summers Thigh MasterLC

or was that Jane Fonda? There are some smaller muscles on the inside of the thigh that help stabalize your legs.

Im strengthening the same muscle, heres what my physio has me doing

Stand with feet shoulder length apart and your weight back on your heels (hold your arms out in front of you for balance) and do pulsed squats - that is, bend knees and get your torso moving up and down. go as low as you can without sitting but dont come all the way back up - do this for 45 secs - 1 min at a time X 3
Try to keep your weight back on your heels at all times
and
stand at the edge of a step and lower one foot off the edge of the step - like you are walking down the step - but dont let the descending foot touch the bottom - pulse up and down. Reps of 20 per foot X 3
and
stand with your back flat aginst a wall and feet (shoulder length apart) about 3 feet out from the wall - pulse up and down. 45 secs - 1min X 3

If it fatigues/goes lactic - good.
If it hurts - bad and stop

Using backpedaling to slowdown will get the job done.

Ride a bike. that's what uses that muscle. By the way it's called the vastus medialis and is a leg muscle. Knees don't have muscles
