Sep 27, 2001 12:52 PM | | Just before my Knoxville double I got a flat. The tear is 1/8" at the surface but whatever it was it only left the tiniest pinhole through the inner casing. Is this going to cause me problems? It is a nice 290 tpi vittoria open tt cx -brand new. Is the tear going to get bigger or can I ignore it?

Sep 27, 2001 12:58 PM | | I have Vittoria Open Corsa TT's, and got a nail through the tread horizontally but it did not penetrate the kevlar casing. It left a 1/4" slice in the tread. I put 24hr epoxy into the slice and squeezed the deflated tire together with clamps until it set. Just make sure you wipe off all excess epoxy from the tread.
The tire has fine ever since.
