I just replaced by handlebars with a Cinelli B groove bar that fits me better. The new bars came with a foam grip/cushion that is about 3/4" x 4". I assume that this cushion is meant to be attached to the bars, underneath the bar tape, (in the drops would seem appropriate) but where on the bars is it meant to be placed? Do other people use these cushions? This is the first I have seen them and no instructions were included.

Thanks.

They go on the drops. Cinelli used to have a picture of one of their bars with these pads on the drops on their website but I believe it's gone now. If you want to use them just put then on the part of the drops that you use the most (or feel you need more padding on) and put the tape over them.

Well, if the B-Groove bars are like the Solida's, then the pad should go where the bar is flattend in the drop area. At first I thought the pads were kind of lame but I put them on just to try them and now I think they are great. With Cinelli cork ribbon they just have the right amount of cusion, not too hard or too soft. I couldn't seem to figure out the adhesive strips that came with the bars so I just affixed the pads with electrical tape just the the cables. Give them a shot, it's pretty sweet!
