Hello all. Yes I'm still alive and still riding like a mad man. I mentioned in August that there is a velodrome near my house and that my wife gave me a class there as a birthday gift. Well, last night was the first class. What a rush! We did some basics and were led onto the track fairly quickly. I must say this is a workout. It took a minute to get used to the single gear idea, but it was great. My quads are paying for it today. I still have 7 more classes to go. I think this will definitly improve my road riding. Here are a few pics

Hope all are well, and my thoughts go out to all of you that were directly or indirectly affected by last weeks events.

looks steeper than Ttown where I raced, also newer. 333m? What's the banking? Track racing is the best, funnest thing I ever did on a bicycle, I sure miss it. Also the only kind of racing I was worth a s..t at; climbing eludes me, but my body type just LOVES the boards

It's the superdrome in Frisco TX. The track is 250m with 44 deg banking.

I wish that track was around when I raced track. I've heard some good comments on it. I think it would take me a few extra minutes to get used to the 44 degree banking though! I'm used to 33.
