Why is Calfee not in the Road Bike Review section on this web site?

Look under the "Racing Bike" category.

At the risk of offending diehard Calfee owners/fans, I was seriously looking at this bike as a possible new purchase. Talked to a VERY reputable shop in town and was told they were discontinuing the line (perhaps temporarily) due to numerous build quality problems with the product. I decided to just look at other brands instead.

This is a first! Can you be more specific?

As I recall it was primarily various problems in the BB area, but there were others as well. They did give me more specifics, but as they told me all of the problems my brain sort of turned off as I decided it wasn't something I wanted to get into. Due to this shops reputuation, I took them at their word. They were spending too much time fixing and/or warrantying the frames and customers were getting irritated about the downtime. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Don't know why, but I have never noticed the race bike section. Sorry you decided against Calfee, after lots and lots of research on Calfee and many other carbon frames, I did decide to have a Calfee Tetra Pro custom made. I can honestly say that I could not be more happy. I have ridden a lot of different frames and this is by far the most impressive. The main reason I was looking for Calfee in the reviews was to see what other people thought of the bike. thanks for the info!!

The problems you mention were resolved quite a while ago. Calfee has everything worked out and there's no reason to worry. Check the Calfee owner's page if you want further testimonial. Many of those guys have 5+ years on their bikes and they still say "carbonbikes" on 'em.
