the artist formerly known as Made in Taiwan. yes i took a German handel (pun intended) and i am no where close to being german, after all, i'm made in .....

Amazing, simply amazing!
just received my KG281 frame, with Deda Newton stem and bar in the mail. total cost: 650 pounds (less then $1000 US) that's a 900 dollar saving!!!!! almost half price!!! I got a yellow one, it's pretty much the only color that they (totalcycling.com) had that comes in my size. Yellow!! but the Look logos on the tubes aren't black, it's clear lacquer so the carbon fiber shows through. awesome looking frame, can't wait to build it up.
Probably gonna build it up with DA/ultegra mix with open pro wheels. Thought about going with campy chorus ($772 at totalcycling, no head set tho) but since i have a lot of shimano tools already, i might as well go with shimano's.

whew, what an amazing looking frame!!
congratsKG281

This is indeed a wonderful frame! Light, quick handling, and very lively. Please do the right thing and put C10 on in it though .... ;)

Oh, DON'T use the perma-link unless you like the view of a deraillier in the rear spokes ... :(

BTW, are you worried that their warrantee is only 3 years?
Knock it off!look271

Many (ad nauusem) posts have been about this subject. CF (especially from Look and Trek), lasts quite a while. Mr Tiawan will be able to ride many, many years on his 281.
it was an honest questionkenyee

I haven't seen the comments on Look you mention but have only recently been looking at Look to see if it was worth buying. I have seen lots of on the Treks and cracks on some of their frames. It just seemed odd to me that Look did not have a lifetime warrantee like Trek/Klein/Airborne had...
Sorry.look271

The LBS that I take mine to told me that they have had no frame warranty claims on Look frames. None. These people have no reason to lie to me. Dave Hickey(who posts on this board) has at least 3 Looks, some quite a bit older than 3 yrs. No problems. I don't think that it's an issue.
Thanks.kenyee

I've also noted the lack of cases.
Just wait 'till you ride it!look271

You won't believe how good it is. Why don't you keep with the French theme and go with Mavic Mektronic? My 271 has a mix of Mektronic and D/A-Ultegra.
Congrats.....Len J
