Thoughts and prayers to all from MVN (Mark)MVN

I haven't been coming to this board very long, but I've come to respect and admire many people here for their intelligence, honesty and genuine sense of caring. I'm a psychologist who is in training to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. As you might expect, the events of today were the topic of class all day and night. My suggestion for everyone is this : Try to do something "normal" to get away from the constant replay of the events by the media. I know it was hard to tear myself away from the tube to go to class. But the more I watched it, the more sick and depressed I got. Doing something, anything that's part of your regular routine will help you keep yourself together. Even if it's not part of your routine, try to think of a way you can help. I have type O negative blood and will be donating tomorrow. I usually donate every 56 days, but tomorrow will be a special donation. I'm not as bike-knowledgeable as everyone else here, so this is my way of trying to give back a little something. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. I hope you can all find satisfactory ways of dealing with this tragedy. Let us all remember those who died or were injured today in our prayers. Good riding to everyone.

welcome to the board; your own intelligence, honesty and caring shows in your post.

bike knowledge is useless right now - we can certainly use a psych. though...
