|I haven't been coming to this board very long, but I've come to respect and admire many people here for their intelligence, honesty and genuine sense of caring. I'm a psychologist who is in training to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. As you might expect, the events of today were the topic of class all day and night. My suggestion for everyone is this : Try to do something "normal" to get away from the constant replay of the events by the media. I know it was hard to tear myself away from the tube to go to class. But the more I watched it, the more sick and depressed I got. Doing something, anything that's part of your regular routine will help you keep yourself together. Even if it's not part of your routine, try to think of a way you can help. I have type O negative blood and will be donating tomorrow. I usually donate every 56 days, but tomorrow will be a special donation. I'm not as bike-knowledgeable as everyone else here, so this is my way of trying to give back a little something. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. I hope you can all find satisfactory ways of dealing with this tragedy. Let us all remember those who died or were injured today in our prayers. Good riding to everyone.|

|welcome to the board; your own intelligence, honesty and caring shows in your post.
bike knowledge is useless right now - we can certainly use a psych. though...
